Better care for children with ASD
Autism is a condition that is increasingly visible worldwide. According to WHO, 1 in 100 children has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and 15 million people are affected by autism in Africa. In Senegal, estimates are around 0.8% of the population according to CHU Fann.
In Senegal, the limited statistics available indicate that “0.8% of young children are affected by autism” according to the child psychiatry centre at Fann Hospital.
